South Norfolk Model Flying Club

Radio Controlled Flying in Norfolk, UK

Welcome to the South Norfolk Model Flying Club website, situated just south-west of Norwich, Norfolk, close to the market town of Wymondham. We fly radio controlled planes, both i/c and electric, and occasionally helicopters. We now have Free flight evenings and also Control Line flying. 2 airfields are exclusively used by the Club, one at Suton, near Wymondham and the other at Tacolneston. Both sites are available for use every day of the year, weather permitting.

A friendly bunch of enthusiasts, we welcome new and returning pilots and support them with training by registered instructors, taking them through to attain BMFA 'A' and 'B' certificates. To those who wish to try things out before committing, we offer trial flights using our Club trainer aircraft.

The Club's membership meets every month in a function room at a local pub, where members come to chat, are kept up-to-date on the latest news and hear presentations by members or visitors. We have a regular series of competitions and events throughout the year, often supported by an excellent barbeque.

The Club is affiliated to the BMFA, in which it takes an active role in the support of model flying.

Come and see us one Sunday at Suton - our most active location - and try the hobby out.
