The schedule consists of
- Rectangular take-off sequence,
- 2 inside loops,
- Immelman turn,
- 1 outside loop,
- Split S,
- Cuban 8 with no rolls,
- Stall turn,
- Slow roll,
- Half square loop with half roll on exit
- 2 turn spin
- Rectangular landing sequence
The schedules are flown along a line 150yds out from the pilot, within a 120 degree box (60 degrees each side of the centre line). At least 2 judges awards points out of 10 for each manoeuvre and the points multiplied by the difficulty (K) factor to give a score for the manoeuvre. These are totalled to give a score for the flight and averaged for the judges. Worst scoring round is dropped in the competition.
Central manoeuvres should be centred on the centre line of the box and turnaround (end) manoeuvres should be within the box. Lines should be level and straight, loops should be round, and all arcs within the manoeuvre of the same radii.
Wings should always be level on entry to and exit from rolls and spins, indeed all manoeuvres should hit the intended line of flight without hesitation.
Use of throttle through a manoeuvre is as important as any other control input. As you progress through the schedule, rudder should be used for wind correction.
